Privacy Policy

When you create an account and use the platform, we store:

• Your email address and name, from Google sign-in or the email you sign in with.
• Your lesson progress, knowledge-check results, and practice exam attempts.
• Your study plan and any credentials you record in your wallet.
• Your subscription status — whether you're on the free tier, monthly, or annual, and whether the subscription is active.

We never see or store your card number. Payment happens on Stripe's hosted checkout; card details go to Stripe and stay there. What Stripe sends back to us is the subscription status, nothing more.

If you only read the free catalog without an account, we collect none of the above — there's no account to attach it to.

To provide the service: your progress makes the course pick up where you left off, your plan paces your study, your exam attempts show you where you stand, and your subscription status decides what content the server sends you. If you've opted into reminders, we use your plan and progress to send them.

That's the whole list. We don't build advertising profiles, and there are no ads to build them for.

Three companies touch your data on our behalf, each for one job:

• Supabase — hosts the database and handles sign-in (Google and email magic links). Your account and progress live here.
• Stripe — processes payments and runs the billing portal. Your card details live here, not with us.
• Cloudflare — the CDN that serves the site, which means it sees the traffic that any web host sees.

Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers — there are none. We do not show ads. We don't disclose your data to anyone else unless the law compels us to.

One kind: the authentication session that keeps you signed in. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers. If you never sign in, you get no cookie worth mentioning.

Email support@8140.study from the address on your account and ask. We'll delete your account and everything attached to it — progress, plan, attempts, wallet. Stripe retains the transaction records that payment processors are legally required to keep; that retention is theirs, not ours.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll email the address on your account and update the effective date at the top. See also the terms of service and the refund policy.
