Digital Engineering for Defense Acquisition

The defense enterprise is moving its engineering from documents to models โ€” by strategy since 2018 and by instruction since DoDI 5000.97 (December 2023). This program teaches acquisition and technical professionals what that actually means and how to buy it well: systems engineering foundations, the policy mandate stated precisely, models and digital twins, the digital thread and authoritative data, open systems, and the contract craft that decides whether any of it exists. Professional development, not certification prep: nothing here is an 8140 qualification.
